Notice All the options grant direct access to the Master in Law. Students who do not have taken the "Law Option" and who follow the Master in Law will be obliged to include the following courses on their programme : Elements of comparative law and Intellectual law.


In addition:
  • the Public Administration and European Policy option gives direct access to the Masters in Political Science, specialising in European Policy or Public Administration on the condition that this has been followed in the 2nd and 3rd years of the Bachelors programme
  • the Criminology option gives direct access to the Masters in Criminology, by means of adding in the Masters programme, courses on Sociology of Ideologies and Statistics instead of the course on Penal Law from which students are exempt.
Returning to the Law or Maastricht option in the 3rd year of the Bachelors programme remains possible. For other options, Faculty approval is required.

Preparation to the 3rd year of Bachelor at the University of Ghent
The Faculty offers the students of the "Law" option the opportunity to make their 3rd year of Bachelor in Law at the University of Ghent as an "Erasmus Belgica". As seating is limited, a selection will be organized during the first week of school.
Students study a special programme including compulsory courses in the 3rd year that cannot be followed at the University of Ghent. Students will have to take the following course : "Juridical terminology and text analysis in Dutch".
