Course contents :

| As an introduction course to criminal law, this course situates criminal law in the historical, social and juridical sphere.
The introduction to criminology aims to present the student with importance of criminological sciences through several specific topics (economic criminal law, terrorism, victimology, etc.). |

Learning outcomes of the course :

| Following themes are dealt with :
- the historical development of criminal law and its philosophy ;
- the sources of criminal law ;
- the basic principles of criminal law ;
- the application of criminal law in time, space and towards the person ;
- the crime : the constitutive elements, the classification ;
- the punishable attempt and the punishable participation ;
- the punishment.
- the importance of criminological sciences through several specific topics (economic criminal law, terrorism, victimology, etc.). |

| Written exam in january 2012; oral exam in may-june and august 2012. |
