In order to prepare for this assessment, students are requested to follow training seminars in written communication, preparation for an interdisciplinary case, and communication and debating as applied to legal subjects.

Notice For selected students, participation in an interuniversity or international competition replaces the written work and oral examination (DTFE0017-3) and sometimes also the internship (DTFE0017-4). For students who have, in their first year, completed an Erasmus trip or similar programme lasting a full year, the end of year work consists of a written dissertation (DTFE0017-5).


Choose one focus from the following :

Over the course of the Masters programme, students must collate 30 course credits.

Students have the possibility, with the Faculty's agreement, within a specialisation to follow a course in the corresponding subject in a partner university through an exchange programme such as Erasmus.

Professional focus in Interuniversity mobility

Students selected for this focus (selection organised at the beginning of the 3rd year of the masters) will go to study in a foreign university or one in the Flemish-speaking community according to the terms laid out by the faculty. This course can last one academic year (60 ECTS to be chosen in the host university) or one semester (30 ECTS to be chosen in the host university), only during the first year of the masters. Master professional focus in management

The choice of this specialisation is subject to prior authorisation by a selection committee from the Faculty of Law and the HEC Management School.

This focus enables access to the Master in Management, Law and Management focus. In one year of study (75 ECTS), students can thus acquire the deploma in Management.

Master in Law, Professional focus in Law and Management

The specialisation in ""Law and Management"" results from partnership between the Faculty of Law and Political Science - Ecole Liègeoise de Criminologie jean Constant and the HEC-Management School at the University of Liège.
It was created within the Masters in Law programme for holders of the Masters in Management Sciences degree specialising in Law and in parallel within the Masters in Management Sciences for holders of the Masters in Law degree specialising in Management.
This specialisation is the final stage in a programme enabling students to obtain two Masters degrees (law and management) over six years.
