The course will cover the following topics:
- Different aspects of the profession (focus on classroom work and work for the classroom)
- Teaching methods for large groups, small groups, and individuals
- Triple concordance and the importance of the structuring phase
- Contributions of cognitivism and neuroscience to classroom practices
- Types of knowledge and how to support their development
- Contributions of (socio)constructivism to classroom practices
- Explicit teaching
- Contributions of motivational theories to classroom practices
- Self-regulated learning and executive functions
- Students with learning difficulties and the danger of implicit teaching
- Learning disorders: students with special needs and inclusion
- Interdisciplinarity

- Knowledge and understanding of the various concepts covered in the course
- Ability to apply these concepts in relation to teaching practices

The course is organized in two ways: large group classes (Monday mornings) and small multidisciplinary group classes (Tuesday mornings, afternoons, or evenings, depending on the group). Large group classes will alternate between presentations, illustrations, and question-and-answer sessions. Small multidisciplinary group classes will give students the opportunity to experience different teaching/learning methodologies (group work, puzzle classes, role-playing, flipped classrooms, etc.).
Attendance at small multidisciplinary group sessions is mandatory.

The assessment consists of two parts: a multiple-choice section (40%) and a case study section (60%). Further details will be provided during the course.
Attendance at sessions organized in small multidisciplinary groups is mandatory. Except in cases of force majeure as determined by the team,
- two unjustified absences from these sessions will result in the student being ineligible to take the written exam.
- absence (even if justified) from more than half of these sessions will automatically result in a grade of ABSENCE (or EXCUSE) for the course.
