Introduction to the Book : Manuel de chinois moderne des affaires A1 (Editions Ellipses)

General overview of Chinese language.

Chinese pronunciation system: Pinyin (the phonetic transcription of Chinese).

Chinese character structure + about 50 words. (Vocabulary)

Basic grammar.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this teaching unit, students will be familiar with the basic structures of the Chinese language and will have learned their first characters. They will be able to express basic information about themselves or another person. They will gradually build up a vocabulary that is useful in the workplace and in business.

- in class: explanation of grammar, presentation of pronunciation, vocabulary, listening and reading comprehension exercises, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary exercises.
- preparations and drills to be done at home every week.
