Learning unit contents
Getting further in practical business Italian. Main focus on oral skills.
Students will also prepare a teaching trip to Italy.

Acquiring business Italian in a working context.

Developing proficiency in all working situations.
At the end of this course, students will be able to present a personal project, apply for a job and attend a job interview.

The course will be structured around three different modules:
1. Techniques for writing the perfect cover letter.
2. Preparing a solid and credible business plan, illustrating the various points to be addressed in order to convince investors.
3. Preparing for and conducting a job interview: preparation and interview techniques.
In addition, during the first few weeks of the course, students will finalise preparations for the field trip, scheduled for late September/early October in Puglia.

Assessment will be based on the following criteria:
1. Written examination (20%): writing a letter (2 hours, during the January session).
2. Oral examination PT. I (20%): presentation of the BP (in December).
3. Oral examination PT. II (20%): job interview simulation (during the January session).
4. eLAO test (20%) (during the January session).
5. Organisation of the field trip and involvement (20%).
N.B.: The eLAO test is scheduled for January. The balance based on the test results is as follows:
A1 = 1/20
A1.25 = 2/20

IMPORTANT! An unjustified absence from the compulsory presentation of the BP will automatically result in a Q1 attendance mark and the entire exam being taken in the second session. Please therefore ensure you attend on the chosen date.
If the presentation is passed in Q1 but the exam as a whole is not passed, the presentation mark will remain unchanged in the second session.
Evaluation requirement: reaching B2 / C1 level.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Part of the course will be replaced in 2025/2026 by a fieldtrip in Italy (Lecce). Visits to local enterprises will be planned with the students.
