Learning unit contents
Getting further in business Italian. Main focus on scientific papers, discussion (giving his own opinion), oral presentations and writing.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Reaching B2.2 level by the end of Master 2.
Acquiring business Italian (micro / macroeconomics).
Perfecting oral skills and comprehension.
Getting further in the knowledge of Italian geopolitical and economic realities.
At the end of this course, students will be able to lead a scientific discussion on an economic topic in Italian.

Having B1.2 level
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
- In-person teaching
Listening and reading comprehension (papers and videos)
Oral training : reveal his point of view, using appropriate technical vocabulary. A compulsory personal presentation is planned.
Debates, discussions and defending opinions, namely on the basis of critical texts, in order to achieve an advanced oral expression on socio-economic topics
- Individual homework
Preparing debates, readings, synthesis.

In-depth knowledge of the subject of sustainability and its various facets, following the reading of :
- Enrico GIOVANNINI, L'utopia sostenibile, Laterza, Bari-Roma, 2018.
- Chiara MIO, L'azienda sostenibile, Laterza, Bari-Roma, 2021.
Watching of videos on these two main subjects : discussions and debates.
N.B.: The purchase of these books is compulsory.

written exam ( open-ended questions ) AND oral exam
Further information:
1. Written exam (33%): PT. I > Listening comprehension and summary of a video on the topic covered in class; PT. II > Writing a short essay based on the course topic.
2. Oral exam PT. 1 (33%): compulsory presentation of a chapter from one of the two books.
3. Oral exam PT. 2 (33%): conversation on sustainability, authors' points of view and personal points of view.
Evaluation requirement: reaching B2 level
IMPORTANT! An unjustified absence from the compulsory presentation will automatically result in a Q2 attendance mark and the entire exam being taken in the second session. Please therefore ensure you attend on the chosen date.
If the presentation is passed in Q2 but the exam as a whole is not passed, the presentation mark will remain unchanged in the second session.
