This course broach different models in crime prevention. Special attention is given to the Belgian crime prevention policy

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the May-June 2020 session
Teaching methods implemented : distance-learning
Availability of written materials (the two reference books) for students who would not have had the opportunity to obtain them before confinement;
Transmission of commented slides relating to the subject of the evaluation;
Availability to each student individually (email) and organization of question / answer sessions and / or group rehearsals;
Permanences organized remotely for groups of students as part of compulsory teamwork;
Adaptation of the deadline for submitting written team/group work
Assessment subjects
Matter seen before confinement: Introduction and definitions, ethics and prevention, types of prevention, European and international visions, prevention strategies, criminal and police prevention.
Matter after confinement: Community prevention, situational prevention;
Matter reduction (deletion): Developmental prevention, Belgian prevention model, cross-cutting issues (EXCEPT ethics and crime prevention)
Assessment methods
The oral exam is transformed into a written exam;
Written team/group work remains compulsory and a condition for passing the exam; it's still worth 20% of the overall mark/grade
