Depending on your educational background or depending on the focus, it is possible that the prerequisites / corequisites for the 1st year of the programme are presented in the block 2. You are therefore invited to read through the list of courses in block 2 even if you are registering for the first time in this master.
As part of the Master in Mining and Geological Engineering, students must follow or approve 60 core training credits (including the placement and final dissertation), 30 credits from one of the specialised courses on Mineral Resources and Recycling, Environmental and Geological Engineering or 30 credits from a course of their choice.
Students interested by this Master would ideally have acquired the skills and knowledge corresponding to the 40 credits of courses that are specific to the option "Geo-resources and Environmental Geology" in the Engineering Bachelor programme.
The Master is 'bilingual French / English'. Therefore, a student using actively French and/or English and passively the other language can follow all the lessons. Practically, students can ask questions to supervisors in both languages, course materials exist in both French and English (pdf, ppt and reference books). Students report the language in which they wish to be interviewed.
At the end of the Master programme, an optional but officially supervised field-trip allows future professionals to make a guided tour of exceptional foreign companies and geological sites
