Initiation à la traduction de l'espagnol vers le français
Translation of general interest texts with different levels of language, different registers and a variety of domains. Approach to the cultural references encountered in the texts. Initiation in the procedures and problems of translation.
Pratique de la langue espagnole
This course aims to develop the four linguistic skills, namely :
- oral expression
- written expression
- listening comprehension
- reading comprehension
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Initiation à la traduction de l'espagnol vers le français
At the end of the course, students will be able to translate general interest texts, i.e. analyse them and transmit and reformulate the meaning. They will be able to use basic translation tools (dictionaries,...) and take into account the specificities of the source and target languages.

- To be able to reproduce an orally coherent and syntactically correct text.
- To be able to produce a grammatically correct narrative text.

Initiation à la traduction de l'espagnol vers le français
Written preparation of the translations at home. Comparison and critical group correction of the work prepared individually. Elaboration of a final joint version.

Active requiring constant participation from students, training in comprehension (reading, listening) and expression (written and oral)

Assessment methods and criteria
Initiation à la traduction de l'espagnol vers le français
20% of the mark: written exam in January (translation and/or exercices similar to those done in class). To learn vocabulary in the "Mot pour le dire en espagnol".
80 % of the mark: written exam in June (translation and/or exercises similar to those done in class). To learn vocabulary in the "Mot pour le dire en espagnol".
Pratique de la langue espagnole
First session:
20%: written examination in January
80%: evaluation in June through oral and written examination
- 40%: Oral examination about the content of given texts.
- 40%: written examination
Second session:
- 50%: Oral examination about the content of given texts.
- 50%: written examination
