Learning unit contents
This course aims to provide students with the fundamentals of advanced therapy medicinal products (such as ATMPs and nanomedicines) as well as emerging classes of biotherapeutics.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course will cover advanced therapy medicinal products, including gene therapies, cell therapies, tissue-engineered products, as well as emerging approaches such as nucleic acid-based medicines, nanomedicines, and biotherapeutics.
The aim of this course is to provide students with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of advanced therapy medicinal products, their mechanisms of action, regulatory aspects, and the key scientific and technological challenges associated with their development and use.

This course is based on lectures delivered face to face.
During some sessions, Wooclap activities may be organized to review the knowledge covered in the previous lecture(s). These Wooclap sessions are intended to allow students to assess their understanding and to prepare them for exam questions.
