Learning unit contents

- Organization and functioning of the educational system of the French-speaking Community of Belgium, its institutions and its policies: reference legislative texts and statistical indicators, decisional levels, evolution of the models of operation.
- Main insights on French-speaking Belgium from international surveys (PISA, TALIS)

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

- Learn about the educational policies and the current organization of the education system in the French-speaking Community of Belgium.
- Read and interprete statistical data and indicators about the educational system.
- Understand and take a critical stance towards the school institution
