Learning unit contents
In-depth study of translation theory in relationship with various sorts of both general and specialized texts. Numerous translation exercices will make it to possible to extend the student's lexical and grammatical knowledge in Dutch as well as in French.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
By the end of the course, the students will have improved their translation strategies from Dutch to French and with regards to different kinds of texts as well linguistic registers.
They will also have acquired a solid theoretical and methodological framework, which will enable them to identify translation problems and to comment on them.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Very good knowledge of Dutch and excellent knowledge of French.
It is warmly recommanded to first take the cours "Théorie et pratique de la traduction du néerlandais vers le français I" before taking the course.
