Learning unit contents
This course aims to introduce students to the General logic of evaluation in developmental neuropsychology: patient history, methodology of intellectual evaluation (including assessment of the baby and toddler, the child with selective language impairment), attentional and executive assessment, evaluation of memory capacities, assessment of social cognition, of visuo-perceptual and visuo-spatial disorders and of numerical competencies.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The student will understand and master the general logic of a neuropsychological assessment in children. He will know the main methods and tools for evaluating cognitive abilities in children and should know what elements to take into account to consider a performance as negative.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Prerequisite and co-requisite units are presented within each program
This course supposes having basic knowledge in clinical neuropsychology and in developmental cognitive psychology.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
This course is based primarily on ex cathedra courses with examples and audio-visual content.

August :
The teacher keep to opportunity to choose between organizing an oral or a written exam depending on the number of students passing the examen in second session.

Adaptation of teaching commitments following the COVID-19 pandemic for the Aug-Sept 2020 session

The evaluation material does not change. All chapters have to be studied and mastered for the exam.
Assessment methods
The second session exam will be an oral exam. This will be organised via the collaborate platform (via ecampus). The oral exam is held on a closed-run.
We will offer a "test" session so that students can test the collaborate platform before the day of the exam.
The practical terms (exam time, number of questions, exam date ...) will be communicated via ecampus to students by the end of July.
