Learning unit contents
The course aims to initiate students in philosophical reflection through the study of the main theories of natural law and the controversy that this has given rise to from Antiquity to the present day.
The course also aims to provide an understanding of a range of major contemporary social and political problems.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The students will be initiated into philosophical culture, but also by showing them the current philosophical standpoint of the different doctrines, they will be encouraged to ask questions about the nature of law and politics.

Repetitions will be organized during the second term-the hour and frequency has yet to be decided with the students, the student supervisor and the lecturer.

Assessment methods and criteria
The exam will consist of a written part (10 pts) then an oral part (10 pts).
Students who have obtained at least 4/10 on the written examination are allowed to sit for the oral examination. The addition of the marks of the two exams will constitute the final mark (ex: written 6/10 + oral 7/10 => final mark 13/20).
Both exams will cover all the course
Students who have obtained less than 4/10 on the written exam are not allowed to sit for the oral examination. Their score will be multiplied by 2 and will constitute the final mark (ex: 3,5 / 10 => 7/20).
