Assessment methods and criteria
The grade will be determined by the result of the final exam. This exam will take place before an examining panel chaired by the module leader and composed of ULg/HEL interpreter-trainers, as well as external professional interpreters. The module leader will have the final say in case of divergence of opinions between the members of the panel.
Work placement(s)
Internships will be organized throughout the year, with or without the Professor, as an observer or as an active interpreter. If possible the student will have the opportunity to go to a real meeting with their Professor. However this will depend on the client, the kind of meeting (confidential or not), the language combination and the availability of an empty booth.
Organizational remarks
The student will be flexible and adapt to potential schedule changes. The Professor is also working as a professional free-lance interpreter, class schedules might be modified accordingly. In this case, the students will adapt to those changes. The course hours will all be given and lost hours will be made up during extra courses or special courses given on Saturday.
