Learning unit contents
This course is an introductory course in the field of penology and the questions related to punishment. It is - among others - linked and integrated with other courses related to punishment and punishment execution.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
- Know the different senses that a given penalty is assigned to have or reach
- Master the major works and thinking in the the penoloogy field
- Be able to analys any given legislation or criminal policy
- Know the different penlaties that exist within the Belgian juridical system
