Learning unit contents
To explain and modify the world and the human relations, some political theories are in struggle.
So, we must examine the ideas, the concrete groups interests. A sociological approach of political theories is an articulation of institutions, interests and ideas to see who believe what and how they defend themselves.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Functions of Identification and Protection are
exclusivist or inclusivist. Doctrines of legitimation and initiation and of leaders'nomination are autonomists or heteronomists. Production is polarized between market or country. Distribution is linked with egalitarism or elitism.
Those contradictions are embodied with concrete interests of political institutions, parties, groups and associations with their own
discourses. The public policies to childhood, youth and help to youth in the twentieth century will be examined.
