Learning unit contents

Introduction to the aims of the înternship and their modalities of organisation and learning objectives - Writing a professional project - How to tackle the internship ? - How to find the intership ? - How to succeed the internship ? - How to write a motivation letter? - How to write a CV? - Internship during one week - Debriefing about the internship

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

This interniship must allow the student to:




  • access to a better understanding of constraints and characteristics of work in professionnal context through the discovery of the reality of the job of a bioengineer, and a sector of activity;
  • mature its professional project and to better indentify its expectations, its adapability, its soft skills, etc.;
  • acquire a necessary professional approach to find an employment (conduct a preliminary reflection on the choice of the company where he wants to do his internship, writing a CV and a motivation letter and prepartion for an interview, etc. ).

Prerequisite knowledge and skills are :

  • GEST3773-1 - Gestion de la qualité
  • GEST3028-2 - Comptabilité et gestion des entreprises
  • MANA0003-1 - Portfolio (Bachelier)
  • PSYC5897-3 - Equipe, organisation & changement.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Learning activities are:
- 2h in a large auditorium to present the internship modalities
- 6h in smaller groups with Lateral counsulting company to prepare the internship
- Internship during one week
- 2h in smaller groups for internship debriefing

Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning)

Face-to-face and distance learning.

The necessary documents are available on e-campus.

Assessment methods and criteria

Assessment occurs at two moments :


  • First four months: writing of a CV and covering letter (30 % of final score)
  • Last four months: report about the intership (70 % of final score).
In case of negative assessment, the student will have to write a new report and/or to realize an new internship. The decision will depend on the commentaries made by the coordinateur and the intership chief.
Students who don't respect rules won't be assessed.

Work placement(s)

Job placement in a company during a week.

Students are invited to check Hyperplanning and to check their e-mails in order to have the information on place and hour of face-to-face meetings.
