  • sustain your motivation and commitment to your studies,
  • help your choices amongst the trianing offer, help you selecting courses and workshops that suit you best.
The discovery of possible jobs for a psychologist / educational specialist will be structured in the following areas :
  • Neuropsychology
  • Clinical psychology
  • Legal psychology
  • School psychology
  • Work psychology
  • Psychology of aging
  • Research
  • Education
  • Adult training
The discoveryof possible jobs for the speech therapists will be structured around the following competencies :

  • Treatment
  • Professional relation
  • Expertise
Learning outcomes of the course :
The course will contribute to the development of the following two competencies :
  • Describe, analyse and decode education and training situations / psychological situations / speech therapy situations, in context and in reference to conceptual frameworks ;
  • Communicate in accordance with a target audience and interact or collaborate adequately, following the contexts, the actors, in teams and networks, in a constructive and respectful way.
If you have chosen the "speech therapists" orientation, the course will also contribute to your development of the critical abilities identified in the competence grid ("novice" level) of the ULG speech therapists.
Prerequisites and co-requisites/ Recommended optional programme components :
Planned learning activities and teaching methods :
If you have chosen the "general" orientation (for future psychologists and specialists in science of education), the course will consist in a field visit in small groups, where you will meet professionals on their workplace. After an introduction in large group, a few sessions in smaller groups will prepare the field visit.
If you have chosen the speech therapists orientation, the course will be organised around both the speech therapists competence grid and a meeting with professionals on their workplace : after an introductory session explaining the complexity of the competencies, some sessions targeting each of the five competencies of the speech therapist as well as a preparation to the field visit will be organised.
Whatever your chosen orientation, the course will end up with group presentations allowing for a large experience sharing.
Mode of delivery (face-to-face ; distance-learning) :
Blended mode, with face-to-face sessions as well as a web space allowing for group work, visit preparation and discussion forums.
Recommended or required readings :
  /
Assessment methods and criteria :
A group report and an individual report will together constitute the course grade.
Everyone's participation to the groups presentations is mandatory, as well as active participation in the field trip. These two factors will determine the release of the course grade. In other terms, this release is contingent upon the active participation of each of you to the visit and the group presentation.
If you have chosen the "speech therapists" orientation, the evaluation will also particularily take into account your spelling, as the mastery of French belongs to the basic competencies for a professional practice in speech therapy. Therefore, if the handed in documents contain more than 10 spelling/grammar mistakes in first session, they will get an insufficiant grade and will have to be handed in at the second session. At that time (2nd session), if they contain more than 10 spelling mistakes, 2 points will be substracted from your final grade for this course.
