Economics, general, professional focus in Applied Economics and Data Analysis

120 credits

Programme content

At the core of this specialized track lies the role of the economist as an analyst, capable of mobilizing both economic theory and rigorous statistical data analysis.

Through strong scientific training in data analysis, economic modeling, and the evaluation of economic decisions-whether related to public policies or firms' strategic choices-students learn to transform economic information into structured analyses, to identify the underlying mechanisms, and to assess their concrete implications.

This approach emphasizes the applied dimension of economics: understanding phenomena, quantifying their effects, and providing decision-support tools for economic stakeholders.

This track therefore prepares students for high-impact careers in the public, private, or non-profit sectors, where economists act as economic data analysts and provide diagnostics that inform action.
