Learning unit contents
The different stages of LTAD, together with these general principles (specialization, skill development, etc.), will be examined in detail, mainly in the context of athletic development. Reflective activities will be organized to ensure that students are able to apply these general principles across different sports disciplines.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
Students will be able to:
- explain the general framework of LTAD;
- understand and identify the characteristics of its different stages;
- adapt their approach to the population they work with;
- develop objectives and development plans that comply with LTAD principles;
- articulate and defend the LTAD position in response to common conflicting views encountered in sports clubs.
