Health prevention and promotion
The course aims to raise student awareness regarding the role pharmacists can play in prevention and health promotion. Following a brief theoretical introduction to these concepts, the course will focus on the pharmaceutical care services pharmacists can provide for preventive purposes. As the course is part of the bachelor's curriculum, the topics addressed will not require highly specialized pharmacological knowledge. The theory of motivational interviewing-applicable to various types of behavioral change-will be studied and practiced in the teaching pharmacy.
