written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire, open-ended questions )

Further information:

A written exam consists of a first part with closed questions (true-false; out of 20 points) and a second part with open questions (out of 20 points). The first part assesses the student's knowledge of the course, while the second part assesses the student's understanding of the subject and their ability to reconstruct it. Students must therefore obtain a mark of at least 8/20 in each part.

  • If the score for the first part is less than 6, the second part will not be graded, and a score of 0/20 will therefore be assigned to the second part. The final grade is calculated as the average of the grade for the first part and the grade of 0/20. During the exam review session, the expected answers for the second part (open-ended questions) will be explained to the students present at that session;
  • If a student scores less than 6/20 on the open-ended questions, this failing grade is carried over to the overall grade.
  • If a student scores more than 6/20 on both parts, the overall grade is calculated as the average of the two scores.

Consultation of exam papers: a group session will be organised upon registration (during the 15 days following the announcement of the results). Details will be posted on e-campus
