Continuous assessment

Further information:

Face-to-face: written assessment (MCQ, open questions)
In distance: written assessment (MCQ, open questions)
If evaluation in "hybrid": preferably face-to-face

Specific modalities:

Specific Assessment Procedures The final grade is based on a written examination consisting of two parts: a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) and a set of open-ended questions.

The first part assesses students' knowledge and understanding of the course content, while the second part evaluates their ability to comprehend, apply, and critically analyze the material.

Students must obtain a minimum score of 5/10 on the MCQ section. If a student fails this first part, the final grade will correspond to the failing MCQ mark, and the open-ended questions will not be graded.

During the exam review session, the expected answers for the open-ended questions will be discussed with the students attending the session.

If a student passes the MCQ section but fails only the open-ended questions, the final grade will correspond to the failing mark obtained for that section. In such cases, the student will be required to retake only the open-ended questions during the second examination session. If both parts are passed, the final grade will be calculated as the average of the two marks.

Important note: For students enrolled in the Master of Public Health, assessment will be conducted orally in all examination sessions. When the course is offered in a hybrid format, in-person assessment will be preferred whenever possible.
