Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course aims to provide a solid mastery of everyday Dutch as well as its basic grammatical structures (CEFR Level A2) and seeks to develop the three language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, and speaking.
Mastery of CEFR Level A2 is a prerequisite for achieving Level B2*, which is the target level by the end of the bachelor's program at KLO.
To a certain extent, the course fosters critical thinking (through the analysis of ideas and different perspectives in texts), scientific rigor (particularly in the application of grammatical rules and the responsible use of artificial intelligence), creativity (during oral expression exercises), and autonomy (through homework assignments) in order to adapt to the needs of a constantly changing world.
Communication:
The course will enable students to communicate in a straightforward manner about their projects, needs, and environment. It is, in fact, the first and essential step toward achieving effective communication in the business world.
* provided that students take advantage of all the learning opportunities offered and practice their Dutch regularlyoutside of class hours.
