Further information:
This report will be evaluated by the educational tutor (70%) and by the internship supervisor (30%).
It consists four parts:
- (1) The contextualized and problematized presentation of the internship site and its environment by mobilizing, according to the relevance of the field, the work of Mintzberg (1982, 1986), taken up by Pichault and Nizet (2013).
- (2) A report of the activities/projects carried out by the student during his internship and their progress.
- (3) A reflective and/or critical look at their practices and the work carried out at the internship site, and a brief assessment of this first professional experience both in terms of the acquisition of technical skills and in terms of personal development.
- (4) A summary of an analysis proposed by the student on a subject defined by him or her or on a personal proposal made by the student
In addition, at the end of the internship, the internship supervisor will complete the evaluation form (available for download on the same webpage as the regulations), assign an overall grade for the internship and the report, and submit it to the internship office (email: npulgar@uliege.be).
The internship report must be submitted on Ultra (formerly eCampus) and sent electronically via email or in hard copy to the academic advisor no later than the date specified in the FaSS's official schedule for the current academic year.
If the internship report is not submitted by the announced deadline, it will be evaluated during the second session, and the student will face disciplinary action.
During the second session, the evaluation and submission procedures remain the same.
Any instance of plagiarism will result in the report being deemed invalid and will prevent the student from earning the credits associated with the internship (see the Rules on Plagiarism, available on the following webpage: https://my.student.uliege.be/cms/c_11161787/fr/mystudent-prevenir-le-plagiat).
If generative artificial intelligence is used in the completion of the assignment, the student must, under penalty of sanctions, comply with the principles of the ULiège Charter on the Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (see https://www.student.uliege.be/cms/c_19230399/fr/faq-student-charte-uliege-dutilisation-des-intelligences-artificielles-generatives-dans-les-travaux-universitaires).
In the event of a negative evaluation during the first session, the internship report must be completed, amended, and corrected in accordance with the comments provided by the academic advisor. In the event of a second session, the evaluation procedures remain the same. A student who commits a serious offense during an internship will be suspended for the academic year and required to complete a new internship the following academic year.
Work placement(s)
The internship will take place during the second quarter of the second year of the master's degree (except in exceptional cases) and for a duration of 60 days, 4 days a week.
The schedule of the internship will be defined with the host organization, taking into account the content of the tasks agreed between the contracting parties.
The search for the internship and tutor is left to the student's initiative.
In order to start the internship, the student must have completed and signed the following documents in triplicate:
- the internship agreement
- the risk analysis sheet
- the task list
A copy of these three documents, duly completed and signed, must be uploaded to Ultra (formerly eCampus) before the official start of the internship so that it can begin (insurance requirements).
The internship agreement must be the ULiège form. Any agreement requested by the host organization must be reviewed, approved, and signed by the ULiège legal department before the internship begins.
Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Please note that, for insurance reasons, the internship can only take place if the student is
in good standing with regard to registration and if their PAE has been approved by the internship committee. It cannot officially end after the deadline for submitting the internship report during the second session (see the FaSS schedule).
If a student wishes to complete an internship lasting longer than 60 days, they must first obtain
authorization from the chair of the examination committee
