Specific issues in the field of dentistry

This course introduces the principles of sustainability as applied to dentistry and aims to develop students' critical thinking regarding the ethical, social, clinical and environmental implications of dental practice. Through five key themes - ethics and social responsibility, prevention, care and treatment choices, environmental impact, and the benefits of sustainable practice - students learn to integrate the principles of sustainable development into their clinical and professional decision-making.

The aim is to develop students' critical thinking skills, enabling them to make responsible clinical decisions based on scientific evidence and, where relevant, taking into account the long-term consequences of their choices for the patient, society and the environment.

Theoretical concepts will be introduced through structured lectures, supplemented by the analysis of clinical cases and scientific publications.
