Learning unit contents
Students are required to read, synthesize, analyze and discuss a book of legal thought, political or philosophical.
Masters of conferences are professional.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The course helps student to maintain and improve its capabilities - developed over the school - to synthesize and express his thoughts, both written and oral.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
It is essential to master the French language.
The course requires an active and personal participation of the student.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
First students are encouraged to read the work assigned and to draft a first written work.
The audience is divided around reading three books presented by the lecturers in the introductory session (see celcat). The student receive the settlement of the course specifying the practicalities of the course and assessments, as well as the timetable of the work.
The first written work on this reading, writing following the specific instructions of lecturer, must be filed at november and in the manner specified in the settlement of the course.
Then students must participate in discussion sessions, and write a second essay.
Two discussion sessions in groups of about 20 or 25 students are held on Saturday morning. The dates and times of meetings are communicated to the valves at the beginning of second semester.
The second written assignment, to write following the instructions given by the lecturer during the second session, must be filed before the Easter holiday (date specified in the regulations).

The directed working sessions are lead by senior experts.
M. Michel PETERS provides the coordination of the course.
The active participation of the students is essential. Thus, the presence of the students to these meetings is obligatory.
The discussion sessions are organized by group of about 25 students. The groups can be found on eCampus in due course.
The dates and precise hours of the meetings will be posted on eCampus and myULiege at appropriated times
