The learning activities that make up the doctoral training can be flexibly defined according to each Phd student's field of specialization and scientific path. However, they always aim to develop specialized skills related to a particular field of science (thematic training), to ensure that research results are properly disseminated among the international scientific community (scientific production) and to develop transversal skills that improve the graduate's employability (transferable skills training).
In principle, at least 15 credits must be devoted to thematic activities (in-depth training and participation in scientific conferences), at least 25 credits must be linked to the publication of research results and scientific communications, and a minimum of 10 credits must be devoted to transversal activities (training in scientific writing, scientific communication, intellectual property or entrepreneurship, experience abroad, etc.).
A catalogue of transversal training activities is available online.
A reference table for the valuation of activities of the doctoral training by the doctoral college in engineering science is available in the intranet (restricted access).
