Units courses prerequisite and corequisite

Prerequisite or corequisite units are presented within each program

Learning unit contents

As part of this teaching internship, students are required to
- Complete an active internship in upper secondary education, in the personal services section of full-time vocational education or social advancement programmes
- Participate in vocational training workshops (AFP) that will focus on both preparation and reflection before and after teaching internships

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

Organised into disciplinary or interdisciplinary groups, AFPs aim to develop students' reflective thinking skills before, during or after an internship.
The overall objective of the internship is to enable students to engage in a practical experience where they must work, through a fair professional training programme, on developing the skills and professional identity of students preparing for careers in human interaction (childcare, childcare assistant, family support worker, nursing assistant, education officer, youth worker, etc.).
More specifically, students are required to
- Develop a sequence of lessons through a professional training programme
- Prepare each lesson that makes up the professional training programme
- Adjust their teaching by demonstrating reflective analysis of practices

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Over the course of the year, students must complete internships in at least two departments preparing them for different professions involving human interaction (childcare, childcare assistant, family support worker, nursing assistant, education officer, activity leader, etc.).
The Partim 2 internship includes 40 hours of teaching. These must be completed in at least two different classes.
For each class, students are required to develop a professional training programme, spend hours visiting the students' internship sites and organise hours of reflective feedback on the students' internship experience.

An AFP session will be devoted to self-heteroscopy. Students will therefore be required to make a video during their internship and obtain the necessary authorisations to do so. A document containing detailed information will be provided to students on eCampus.
