Observation internship
As part of the observation internship (SO), students will be required to carry out three types of activities.
Attend an information evening (presentation of SO guidelines + awareness-raising on vocational education with external guests).
Complete two half-days of observation in secondary schools, one in transitional education and the other in vocational education. For the half-day in transitional education, students will follow a class of pupils for half a day. For the half-day in vocational education, two options will be proposed and explained during the first multidisciplinary AFP session. During these half-day observation sessions, students will also be invited to interview an experienced teacher and conduct a brief survey of the pupils.
Participate in an SO evaluation session.

Observation internship
Take an initial reflective look at the teaching profession based on observations made and information gathered from the various stakeholders interviewed.
Teaching internship A
Organised into disciplinary or interdisciplinary groups, AFPs aim to develop students' reflective thinking skills before, during or after an internship.
The overall objective of the internship is to enable students to engage in a practical experience where they must work, through a fair professional training programme, on developing the skills and professional identity of students preparing for careers in human interaction (childcare, childcare assistant, family support worker, nursing assistant, education officer, youth worker, etc.).
More specifically, students are required to
- Develop a sequence of lessons through a professional training programme
- Prepare each lesson that makes up the professional training programme
- Adjust their teaching by demonstrating reflective analysis of practices
