Learning unit contents

This training module is structured around three main sections:

1. A (re)contextualization of the "Evidence-Based Practice" (EBP) approach: this approach is increasingly advocated for our professions as clinical psychologists. What is this approach? How to adopt it in our daily clinical practices? The first objective of this module is to define EBP and to give clinicians the keys to be able to concretely adopt this approach in their clinical practice.

2. Cognitive and behavioral therapies are then defined. The specificities of these therapies in the field of oncology are discussed. Specific methods are presented (e.g., behavioral activation, problem solving).

3. The training ends with a practical/experiential part during which clinicians will have the opportunity to practice using the different action methods presented previously (e.g., role plays, intervision).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

At the end of this learning unit combining ex cathedra lectures, case studies and role plays, the professionals in training will have a clear vision of what EBP is and will have been made aware of different methods of action from cognitive and behavioural therapies. They will be able to assess the interest of these in the specific field of oncology thanks to the knowledge acquired relating to the effectiveness of these methods, the adequacy to the profile of the patients, etc.
