Learning unit contents
The course offers a practical introduction to the translation of different types of texts (informative, persuasive, expressive texts) from French into Dutch. The topics covered will mainly be of a general nature (e.g. society, tourism, education, environment, health), although some more specific topics (e.g. literature, economics, law) may also be introduced. We will use mostly (semi-)authentic texts. In addition, the course aims to deepen the students' lexical and grammatical knowledge as well as their translation skills into the target language.
