Learning unit contents
This course focuses on contemporary controversies and issues in the sociology of work. What are its current themes? What debates are driving this field? What contemporary topics are sociologists focusing on in their analyses?
Each year, this course will examine a new, recently published book, allowing students to explore different themes in the sociology of work. Lessons will be organized with presentations by students at the beginning of the session, followed by a group discussion and class elements.
In 2025-2026, we will study Delphine Corteel's book, Faire avec les déchets (Dealing with Waste), Editions du Croquant, 2024.
