Learning unit contents
During the course of "Qualitative research methods", Grounded Theory Method (GTM) was introduced as a generic formalisation of qualitative research. It's now time for students to conduct their own qualitative research. Teams are accompanied in their decisions to articulate a qualitative research question, plan and organise data collection, analysis and interpretation and present their results to an audience.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
The student will be able to:
- write up a qualitative research question,
- determine how to collect qualitative material,
- actively participate to a collective team work,
- create efficient slides,
- speak in public.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
This course requires fluency in French. Students whose mother tongue is not French are encouraged to follow another course.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Students conduct a qualitative research in teams (elaborating a research question, conducting and analysis of an interview). Teams meet in workshops. During these workshop, advices and counsels are provided to help students to reach their ends.
