Learning unit contents
Textual semiotics provides a method to analyse texts, literary or not, based upon linguistic premises.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
1. Initiation to methods and practices of internal analysis, particularly of literary texts.
2. Inititation to theoretical problems about linguistic textual analysis.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Competence in French language is essential for an appreciation of the complexities of French texts.

Commented reading of classic works in textual semiotics.

Active face-to-face seminar. Class attendance is mandatory. Autumn term. Every Friday, 15:00-17:00, local A1/2/67.
