Learning unit contents

The course will address the following topics, among others:

  • Norma y variación. Variedades del español. Prestigio y actitudes lingüísticas.
  • Multilingüismo y lenguas en contacto. El español y el francés.
  • El español como lengua de migración y como lengua de herencia.
  • Pragmática del mundo hispanohablante.
  • Lengua, cultura, pensamiento y emoción.

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • To acquire and deepen an understanding of the different areas of Spanish linguistics.
  • To develop an analytical and critical understanding of the phenomena studied.
  • To apply the acquired knowledge to practical cases.
  • To strengthen oral proficiency in Spanish equivalent to level C1 of the CEFR.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Level B2+ in Spanish.
