Study of basic grammar and vocabulary.
The course is based on the NIEUWE START 1 textbook. Basic skills for the four language skills (listening and reading comprehension, as well as speaking and writing) are developed and practised using dialogues and short texts. The numerous exercises enable interactive learning in context.
Other documents are available on eCampus. They complement the textbook and form an integral part of the course: Zich voorstellen en kennismaken - Mijn cv - Mijn studentenjob - Een restaurant aanraden. The same applies to the NT2 Taalmenu file (reading comprehension).

Vocabulary and grammar covered throughout the year - reading comprehension (unseen cloze text) - written expression
Oral exam:
Reading aloud a paragraph from a text taken from the textbook - discussion on one of the topics covered in class
As part of the training, any learning aids are welcome (online modules, online translators, artificial intelligence, etc.). During mid-term and final examinations, which take place in person, knowledge and skills will be assessed without any assistance.
