Learning unit contents

 

This unit's aim is to help students who struggle with the objectives of the English course of 1st Bachelor to overcome the issues they encounter. It holds :

  • Vocabulary drills and helpful tools to learn the basic vocabulary of the course.
  • Review and further study of grammar basics through group or individual exercises and explanations.
  • Developing reading and listening comprehension skills.
  • Self-study through homework.
 

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • Enable students leaving secondary school with a level too low to follow the Bac 1 course to receive appropriate remediation.
  • Allow students who failed in 1st bachelor to identify their weaknesses and to advise themin the way of overcoming them.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

This course is based on face-to-face guided study sessions. The focus of each session will be on the grammar covered in the regular course over the previous three weeks. However, individual questions are welcome, and it goes without saying that these face-to-face sessions are also an opportunity to anwer individual questions or to review parts of the material that have not been understood.


In between sessions, students will be invited to carry out some activities at home, which can be debriefed in the classroom. Online resources will be made available.

Two remediation sessions per week will be organized every three weeks in Q1 and Q2. Between these sessions, exercises and content will be published on the Lol@ page of the remediation course.
