Learning unit contents
The course is based on the idea that entrepreneurship is a dialectical relationship between self and system: it requires both centering on oneself with clarity and rigor, and decentering to understand and transform the environment. It is within this back-and-forth movement that true value creation emerges. This posture is closely linked to leadership, understood not as a status but as the activity of mobilizing others to address complex and adaptive challenges.
The content is structured around three complementary dimensions:
-
Me, the entrepreneur:
Self-awareness and self-knowledge, clarification of vision and motivations, development of resilience and a learning posture, creativity and boldness.
-
Me & others:
Building high-quality relationships and constructive communication, active listening, empathy and assertiveness, managing disagreements, giving and receiving feedback, mobilizing and inspiring a collective.
-
Me & the system:
Understanding context and key issues, systemic thinking, navigating complexity, experimenting with agility, prioritizing, and striving for sustainable impact.
-
Portfolio: an evolving collection of work, reflections, and personal exercises.
- Narrative essay - "Becoming an Entrepreneur... and an Entrepreneur of Oneself: A Year of Transformation": a final reflective synthesis integrating experiences, models, and identity development.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
-
Understand the importance of soft skills, not merely as complementary to technical knowledge, but as essential levers of an entrepreneurial posture suited to a complex and uncertain world.
-
Develop an expanded reflective capacity, learning to look consciously at themselves (self-awareness and self-knowledge), at others (relational intelligence), and at the system in which they operate (systemic intelligence).
More specifically:
-
Me, the entrepreneur: Identify personal strengths, limits and drivers; clarify vision; and develop a reflective and resilient posture.
-
Me & others: Build high-quality relationships, communicate constructively, manage disagreements, and mobilize a collective around a project.
- Me & the system: Read and interpret complex environments, connect issues, experiment with agility, and aim for sustainable entrepreneurial impact.
