Learning unit contents
This course is intended for students who have generally already completed a TFE and who mastered the basics of documentary research. This course provides information on the specific documentary environment of the University of Liège, and addresses the management of references and citations. The course also raises awareness of the notion of plagiarism, the use of artificial intelligence, and provides information on the circuit and issues of scientific publication (Open Access; bibliometrics):

- locate the documentation in libraries or on the Net;
- decode and write standardized bibliographic references;
- sort and manage bibliographic references.

Most of this course is carried out face-to-face, with alternations of theoretical sequences and tutorials.
Depending on the number of students and the availability of lecture rooms, it is possible that some personal work sessions will be carried out remotely. A detailed schedule is provided at the start of the course.

For the multiple choice questions, a correction for random answers will be applied to the results (Correct answer: +1, no answer: 0, incorrect answer: -1/(number of possible choices - 1)). The precise procedures for the examination and grading will be explained to students during the course.

Organisational remarks and main changes to the course
Students are required to bring their personal laptop to the lectures. Headphones are necessary if they wish to watch tutorials during the practical sessions.
Students' username and password are required to acceed the set of electronic tools.
Improvements are made to the course each year based on the evolution of knowledge and formal and informal feedback from students.
