Continuous assessment

Further information:

Work on GABi and online grammar quizzes (1 point out of 20).

Group oral presentation in order to assess the command of vocabulary and grammatical structures in the context of a prepared exercise. (2 points out of 20).

The oral presentation is a compulsory learning activity, scheduled exclusively during class hours, in the presence of an audience made up of the other students. The purpose of this exercise is to assess oral communication skills in an authentic context, which necessarily requires interaction with an audience. A presentation delivered outside class hours or without an audience cannot meet these conditions and therefore cannot be considered valid. Consequently, any student who is absent on the scheduled day of their presentation will not be granted another opportunity to present outside the class periods allocated for this purpose.

In accordance with Article 64 of the General Regulations for Studies and Examinations (RGEE), coursework carried out during the teaching periods (oral presentations, grammar tests, etc.), and whose marks are included in the calculation of the final mark, is organized only once per academic year. For pedagogical and practical reasons-notably continuous assessment, specific supervision, group work, classroom interaction, and the practical organization of presentations- these assessments cannot be repeated during the second session. The grade obtained for this work is therefore tied to each examination session and is retained for the calculation of the final grade in both the first and second sessions."

Written exam (grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, production) on the material covered as well as on the vocabulary list handed by the Faculty (13 points out of 20).

Oral examination on the topics covered in class. It will focus on three main areas (techniques, materials, and architects) and aims to evaluate the active command of vocabulary and grammatical structures in a context of spontaneous expression. (4 points out of 20)."
