Learning outcomes of the learning unit

The overall aims of the course are to ensure that students are able to :

  • Design learning activities incorporating a variety of digital tools and resources
  • Thinking about the instrumentation of these teaching activities with an approach that is at once critical, efficient and reasoned in the anthropocene, drawing in particular on the resources and models studied during the course
  • Use a range of technological tools that are useful in an educational context in terms of learning, communication, collaboration, assessment, etc.

Prerequisite knowledge and skills

  • Know how to use a computer for office work and simple Internet browsing
  • It is advisable to have taken the PEDA4032 course 'Introduction to the uses of digital technology in education'.
  • This course is based on basic knowledge of pedagogical engineering (drawing up a lesson plan, defining objectives, establishing an assessment method, etc.).

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The methodology used in this course consists, for example, of :

  • Lectures given by the teacher either face-to-face or remotely
  • Reading scientific articles to develop digital literacy and citizenship
  • Potentially fun activities (e.g. card games) designed to develop pedagogical creativity
  • Use and scriptwriting of digital tools (practical workshops)
  • Activities to be carried out alone or in a group
  • Case analysis
  • Field trip in an educational context
  • ...

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

Further information:

The assessment of the course is based on the creation and analysis, in groups of 4 or 5 students, of learning activity/activities incorporating digital tools.

  • A full description and analysis of the activity(ies) will be the subject of a written report.
  • The group will defend its activity/ activities in an oral presentation.
The expected content and assessment criteria (for both the report and the oral exam) will be communicated to students during the course.
