Job opportunities

Employers around the world value bioscience engineers in forest and natural space management for their long-term vision and ability to analyse complex problems, integrating ecological, economic and social dimensions.

These bioscience engineers hold positions of responsibility in relation to forest management, nature conservation, development, education, scientific research and industry, such as :

- Management of private or public forest assets, in Belgium or abroad

- Management and restoration of natural habitats and rural areas

- Wildlife management

- Environmental consulting

- Project design and evaluation, impact studies in design offices

- Supply to the wood industries

- Watercourse management (river contracts)

- Development actions through environmental NGOs, national (BTC) or international organizations (FAO, World Bank, etc.)

- Higher education (bachelor's, master's) and technical and general secondary education

- Scientific research

- sciences outreach and training.
