Learning unit contents

The aim of the course is to provide 1) a theoretical landscape of the theorical tools of the publishing industry analysis ; 2) a close analysis of some contemporary cases (both in France and in Belgium).

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

1) Developing an in-depth knowledge of the international publishing industry as well as within the Belgium and French editorial fields; 2) Considering the publishing industry from the two points of view of economical constraints and sociology of practices; 3) Acquiring a practical knowledge of a moving professional field.
