Learning unit contents

- General mechanisms of global climate (radiation, convection, terrestrial rotation, oceanic movements); - The main types of climates and the corresponding vegetation; - Climate Change (Analysis tools, IPCC report, Causes and mechanisms, Global CO2 budget, Other GHG budgets, Feedbacks);

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

- Identify and understand the basic mechanisms responsibles of main climatic processes at local and global scales, - Describe the main types of climates and the corresponding vegetation, - Understand the causes of climate change and its impact on vegetal and human environment.
- Soft skills : be able to extract from an ensemble of scientific information (texts, tables, graphs) the relevant information allowing to answer to specific questions.
