Learning unit contents

This class introduces the neuropsychology student into the main chracteristics of aphasia (acquired aphasia due to brain injury or progressive aphasia due to neurodegenerative disease) as well as into the relationships between language and memory impairment,

Subjects :
- Neuropsychology of language : historical aspects and current conception;
- Semiology and nosology of aphasia;
- Word processing models and interpretation of neurolinguistic disorders;
- The relationships between language and short-term/long-term memory impairment

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

To get familiarized with the main acquired language pathologies and their link with other cognitive deficits.
