Learning unit contents
The course is aimed at students who already have a good basic knowledge of German and wish to develop their knowledge of business and sales vocabulary and to improve the five skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking and talking) in a sales-related context.
Learning outcomes of the learning unit
This course will
- help students to communicate efficiently, internally and externally, about a company, organization or project.
- allow students to improve their proficiency in German as a foreign language
- allow students to raise their awareness of the multicultural and international features of their environment.
- encourage students to be curious and to show a scientific precision of academic level.
At the end of Master: European level B1 (even better if /B2)
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Students should already have the European level B1 or at least a very good A2
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is as active as possible:
Different sales and business topics can be covered, for example:
- an einer Messe teilnehmen
- Face-to-Face Angebote
- Beschwerdenmanagement
- interkulturelle Unterschiede zwischen Belgien und Deutschland
- specific vocabulary will be presented on the basis of written, audio and video documents
- then students will practise the five skills (writing, reading, oral comprehension, presentation, dialogue)
- punctual grammar reviews

Face-to-face course
Additional information:
Approx. 25 hours in the classroom, but also homework. If the size of the group is too large, we could switch to a hybrid system: about 15 hours face-to-face, the rest in distance work.

written exam ( multiple-choice questionnaire, open-ended questions ) AND oral exam
Written work / report
Additional information:
Individual evaluation.
If the class is not to big, some parts of the exam could be during the semester.
Written exam: 60%:
- listening comprehension
- grammar and vocabulary
- writing and reading comprehension
Oral exam: 40%
The student who doesn't take all the parts of the exam will become 0/20 as final mark.
