Learning unit contents

Changes caused by globalisation affected workforce and labor market. How do companies go to European or global nationally fit into this new organizational and economic landscape?  Which change and challenges for HRM policies ?
- Globalization and its impact on corporate life (outsourcing, offshoring) - Mobility of labor - Co-habitation of different models of HRM (north america, asia, africa) - Role of the hierarchy in different national contexts - Equality / discrimination in different countries - Globalization and trade unions - Sustainable development and CSR globally

Learning outcomes of the learning unit

  • understand the changes associated with globalization and economic and social issues
  • identify impacts on HRM policies and organizational forms
  • identify and understand the professional equality policies in different national contexts
  • see the impact of globalization on trade unions.
  • understand some issues linked with international coooperation

Mode of delivery (face to face, distance learning, hybrid learning)

A priori face-to-face but we will see depending on the evolution of COVID scenarios, which can lead either to split the class (lessons every other week), or to spend the entire course remotely. We are waiting for instructions from the university some home preparations (read text and watch video before class)
